I'm hoping I can fix this with some software tweaks of some kind. I’ve tried with different sources: web browser, audio player, etc. So I guess I could rig up a little attachment on the mic boom. Hello, I discovered that when I record from a source via wasapi loopback (windows 10), the recording of the audio stream is amplified by about 4 dB Obviously this is prone to causing clipping. I've also found that if I cup my hand behind the mic and speak, the loopback volume goes way up. Then I have to turn all of the sound levels way down in the game I'm playing so the fx/music of the game doesn't blow out my eardrums. The best volume I can get out of the mic loopback is if I turn the main volume on the headphones all the way up (which introduces a lot of high frequency white noise/hiss to the sound). makes me feel like I have a head cold or have wool in my ears every time I have to talk because these headphones cut off most of the outside noise. SSL USB Audio Firmware Updater Loopback for SSL2/2+ V5.30.0.12 Download New: support for Windows 10 (21H2) Fix: problem with only one MIDI direction Fix: scaling issues in control panel SSL 12 introduction. I REALLY don't like not being able to hear the mic loopback (my own voice) when I'm gaming and talking on skype with my friends. if there is any other sound (sound fx in games, other people on skype, music, etc.) it easily drowns out the loopback volume. The volume of my own voice is still barely audible through the mic loopback while there is no other sound happening. (control panel -> sound -> right click on corsair speakers -> properties -> levels tab -> unmute microphone)ģ) Both of the microphone loopback level sliders (mic loopback slider in Corsair headphone software and the one in the windows sound panel where I unmuted) are at 100% So yes, I have gone into my windows sound panel and unmuted the microphone slider in the speaker properties/levels tab. Looking for a solution.ġ) I am using the Corsair v1500 1.1 drivers on Windows 7 64-bitĢ) The mic loopback IS working. I assume that the commercial apps can handle this output switching seamlessly-or why pay them? If someone has BH settings where that isn't an issue, please share.I just purchased the Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset and while I like the headset overall I feel like the mic loopback volume level is way too low for my personal taste. However, I have to switch back to my Default after every record attempt or BlackHole does not engage properly for me resulting in no audio or massive feedback - Yikes. If you have a soundcard that supports loopback (I just checked on my low-end Toshiba laptop, and it doesnt) you can record straight from the loopback device using the waveInOpen etc. BH engages automatically for me if I have my preferences set to Default. This is called loopback recording, and it is possible in Windows. What none mention is that you have recording options in QuickTime including Movie which I prefer.Īlso, you'll be going to System Preferences/Sound to re-enable your Default output after you record so that you can hear your results. This gives you the down and dirty while explaining nothing. Unfortunately, he interrupts his tutorial with a long commercial for himself. Should be adaptable to DP and a MOTU interface. This one is just under 6 minutes and demonstrates how to integrate BlackHole into Ableton through a UA interface. He also thinks it's important to keep the internal mic live but I doubt that most of us share his enthusiasm - anyway, you don't have to. This is over 15 minutes and dull as (metaphor of choice here). I'm looking for a quick, concise tutorial but not finding one.
